2010 AAU Season For LI Lightning Nick - So Much Basketball and In So Little Time
 
Team LI Lightning Nick coached by Nick Akoumianakis played over 100 games in AAU 2010  and is still ready for Fall Season Basketball and a few weekend back to school tournaments before the boys start their Varsity High School season. 
 
Proud to represent LI Lightning of Metropolitan New York - Lightning Nick played in over 14 tournaments, Spring Leagues, Nike Swoosh, Utopia Classic, Beacon games and Summer Leagues.  From Local Tournaments to Away Tournament it has been a very succesful season for the boys and their coach.
From:  16U DI & Dll Metro District Regionals, Hoop Mountain, 17U Gosh Warriors-Westchester, Rumble In The Bronx, Shock Exchange at Columbia University, Positive Direction Tournament in Queens, Drive To The Hoop in Rockland County, Gauchos King on New York Classic, Varsity LongIsland Basketball.com, Game Over Classic, Road To The Garden in New Jersey, Spring Fling Playaz Tournament in NJ, GymRatz in Albany and Hoop Group in Providence, etc....
 
Team LI Lightning Nick qualified and attended 16u Dll Nationals in Orlando, Florida at the ESPN Wide World of Sports where they proudly came in 6th place.  Lightning Nick went 3 and 0 in their pool playing against teams from Arkansas, Missouri and Florida. In first round of playoff they beat Team Orange from Connecticut; then loosing to Gardner Red Bulldogs of North Carolina putting the team in the path for 6th place; beating the New York Falcons, New Jersey Panthers and the Final against Valdosta BBall Club of Georgia.  Thank you to the players that made this happen in Florida: Kostas Akoumianakis (St. Demetrios), Paul Simpson (QHST),  Eddie Roscigno (Holy Cross), George Hatzioannides (St. Francis Prep), Alessandro Troia (Manhasset), Jason Smith (Pathways), George Malonoukos (Herrricks), Trent Parrish (Lawrence Woodemere) and Niel Smith (Tilden).
