Karen’s great passion has always been to lead, from an administrative position, for the benefit of youth athletes, coaches and families. She joined the Island Garden/Lightning team in 2011. Karen has wide-range experience in administrative skills, responsibilities, event operations and customer service.
In her position with Lightning Basketball Karen brings her skills and talents from her past executive position(s). Some of that experience is from eight years serving as the CEO for a 501c3 non-profit youth sport organization.
As the CFO and Administration Director for Lightning Basketball Karen uses her knowledge of non-profit and the importance of fiscal responsibility to serve the organization. She has strong communications skills. She clearly understands the importance of transparent and accurate communication with our members as well as confidentiality when requested and/or required.
Karen loves being a part of the Lightning Basketball management team where she feels she can help make everyone’s experience with the organization a positive one, especially the kids.
